12+ month contract

 

o Responsibilities

  • Working with Major Projects’ Project Management teams, general contractors, and subcontractors, as appropriate, track major material and equipment deliveries to ensure timely delivery of the same to the job site.
  • Work with contractor personnel to understand material/equipment procurement constraints, track schedules, and seek opportunities to provide advice and support, when requested, to meet project schedules.
  • Support project teams by understanding and recommending company stocked materials to facilitate project completion.
  • Make recommendations on how to address backlogs effectively, including using company materials or seeking support from alternative suppliers.
  • Work with General Contractors to obtain timely submission of engineering data and to follow-up on material acquisition, production progress, and shipment.
  • Will report to Project Management leaders, evaluate progress reports from contractors and suppliers to determine if material/equipment supplies meet project schedule requirements.
  • Create and manage lists of critical equipment/material for each project. Track availability and shipping for each item.

Experience/Knowledge Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge of industrial project material and equipment requirements, inventory, and Purchasing Practices.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, customs, and shipping requirements across the U.S.
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and develop and maintain industry relationships.
